ART*Rageous is a parent volunteer-run committee funded yearly by the Park Dale Lane PTA that is committed to integrating art instruction into the core curriculum of every classroom at our school.

ART*Rageous provides training and support for parent volunteer ‘teachers’ using a grade/age-based curriculum called ”Arts Attack”; so that they, in turn, can continue to support a classroom environment where children can learn about art and express themselves through the creative process. The Arts Attack program contains complete written lesson plans and instructional DVD’s, in addition to a large selection of Visual Aids. No experience required. We will teach you how to teach and provide you with all supplies.

In addition to the traditional painting and drawing, we are fortunate to offer hands-on clay projects to every child, from instruction, materials to construction, glazing and final firing.

ART*Rageous hosts one ‘Family Studio Night’ per school year. A free, fun evening event where the entire family can come, and with all instruction and materials provided, create a wonderful piece of artwork to take home, as well as collaborative works.

ART*Rageous also coordinates the National PTA-sponsored Reflections Art Contest where students can create original works according to a specific theme in all areas of “art” including visual arts, photography, literature, dance choreography, music composition and video production.

The group hosts the All-Student Art Exhibition and Student Art Auction in the Spring. This one-night only Art Exhibition will present one piece of artwork from each student at Park Dale Lane. It provides the opportunity for the students to proudly display an individual art piece of their choosing in a gallery setting.

ART*Rageous is also responsible for much of the colorful collaborative artwork located around campus.
