Fundraising for Park Dale Lane programs is shared between the PTA, the Encinitas Educational Foundation (EEF), and the school administration. Although the PTA often coordinates volunteers for events run by the school, the proceeds from those events are not part of the PTA budget.
PTA and Encinitas Educational Foundation Fundraisers
The Panther Pledge Drive is the PTA's largest fundraiser. At the beginning of the year we ask each family to make a direct donation to help fund programs.
The Fall Festival combines old fashioned fun with fundraising for PTA programs. In 2016 this event raised over $5,000.
Double your Panther Pledge via our Corporate Matching Program! Did you know many companies will match dollar for dollar the amount you donate to our school?
Take a break from cooking dinner and help PDL at the same time! Fundraisers at local restaurants benefit the GLPD programs.
The annual Jog-a-Thon is hosted and run entirely by volunteers. It’s an exciting, fun event that promotes exercise while raising money for the Encinitas Educational Foundation, which pays for teachers and staff for the GLPD Science, Music, Yoga, and PE programs.
Twice a year, the Scholastic Book Fair gives kids a chance to purchase their own high-quality, affordable books while supporting the school. Last year these events raised over $2,000 for the Media Center/Library. Scholastic donates books to the school library based on sales.
Holiday fundraisers such as building gingerbread houses or the sale of crafts like African baskets also raise money for Outdoor Education scholarships.
The spring and fall school recycling contest collects CA CRV plastic bottles for recycling. Last year, over $2,000 was raised to benefit the Outdoor Education programs (4th grade Star of India, 5th grade Biztown, and 6th grade camp).
